Apple Computer spia Mlist :-))

La domanda e': riuscira' un'altra volta il maestro Jobs a venderci un
bel lifestyle?? Che chi ha il Mac e' cool?
La risposta a questa domanda e' si'. Ci sta riuscendo. Le vendite sono
percentualmente in forte aumento.
Non avrete mica pensato vero che alla Apple freghi qualcosa di
guadagnare forse 10 centesimi di dollaro vendendo una canzone? Quello
che gli interessa e' vendere il loro hardware proprietario ad alto
margine.
Il resto e' solo marketing ;-))

Ieri su CNet (Link:

Phil Schiller, speaking to CNET, explains that the iTunes Music Store
doesn't make any money. "The iPod makes money. The iTunes Music Store
doesn't," the Senior Vice President said, noting that though the music
service is close to being profitable, but is still losing money. Apple
doesn't see the business as having much long-term profit potential either.

The primary goal of the iTunes Music Store is to drive iPod sales. "While
the profitability of the iTunes store right now is questionable, the
popularity of the iPod is not," confirmed a market analyst with Technology
Business Research. Apple recently reported sales of over 330,000 iPods in
the last quarter.
